Headed to the next PC training event (and visitors!!)

On Sunday, November 1st, we are off again, back to the Dedza College of Forestry site for IST (In-Service Training). That is the site where we were initially indoctrinated with the language and technical sessions, for our first few weeks when we arrived. The IST is a refresher, I guess, with emphasis on more technical training and more language. We are scheduled to stay for two weeks.

However, we have a couple of friends arriving from Tennessee on Saturday the 14th, so we will leave a day earlier in order to meet them at the airport. Deborah, an ultrasound specialist, and a longtime friend, is planning to work with Kaye at the College, training the nurses in ultrasound techniques. David, Deborah's husband, will also be visiting. Together, the four of us hope to do a little traveling outside of Blantyre, but can't do much, or go very far, in just a week. We plan to take some photos and to share them upon our return.

Please stay well and stay in touch. We miss you all. (One thing was on my mind last night...I have yet to see or hear a lawn mower although the grass, where planted, never seems to get too long!)

I haven't been on this site since the end of September, so there was quite a bit of NEW information that was really interesting. The outside of your house actually looks pretty nice..would like to see some INSIDE pics. I am recuperating at home...This will be my FIRST week by myself - hope I can manage OK...even tho' I had many people coming and going/helping me (and God knows, I couldn't have done it without them, of which I am truly thankful) I feel it is time to 'try' to live on my own. I do have a friend who offered to come clean for me, which I am seriously thinking about taking her up on her offer. :) I HATE being in MY body as it is, at present. I want to have CONTROL again, NOW! Patience does not come easy with me. I manage to sit on 2 different chairs and on my couch/recliner, which is also my bed. Unable to lay in my bed, hurts to be straight. While I'm sitting/lying around, doing nothing...maybe there's something I can do for YOU GUYS - any ideas???

I checked out your area on Google Earth and could see all the dense population. Now just picking up clues which direction you are from major landmarks (which are few).

We are living in an area just outside of Blantyre in the community of Naperi. Follow Victoria Avenue south out of town and you will run past our house; about 2.5 miles.
